This guide will help you play through this massive 20+ hour game from start to finish, solving all of those tricky dungeons, taking down the plethora of bosses on offer and collecting many of the games hundreds of collectibles along the way. To fast travel to a chapter, go to the table of contents and copy the code next to the section of interest. Press CTRL +F and paste the code in there to jump down to where you want to go in a flash. As with the original Darksiders, some of the items, side-quests and collectibles do not fit within the walkthrough as they require backtracking after Death obtains some additional abilities. A complete list of each type of collectible and their locations as well as a complete side-quest, epic weapons and achievement/trophy guide can also be located in the relevant spots below the walkthrough in the guide below. Simply lure him into doing his two punch lunge > attack and when heâs done, he will be immobilised for a short period of time. > Take this opportunity to go in and swat him a few times (donât get too greedy > and retreat. Rinse and repeat and when he has taken enough damage a short cut > scene will play. Donât forget to loot the body! After the fight has run its course, the nearby door will open, allowing access. Head inside to find another long corridor. When you reach the gap, wallrun across to the square block jutting out of the wall on the left side of the room and from here wallrun again to the far side. Continue into the next room and interact with the lever here. Itâs a lift! When the lift stops moving, climb up the nearby hand holds. Drop down to the ledge above. Around the corner, use the parallel walls to wall run and jump continuously until you reach the top. As before, wall run over to the square block hanging off the wall to the left and then again to the wall vine a little further on. Climb this, jump to the block and then wall run up to the next wall vine. Stay to the left until the path is clear and then continue along to the right. Wallrun to the pillar you can see here. Climb the three pillars and then wall run across to the ledge on the right. Kill the three enemies here and then use the wall vine to climb out and then down and back to a set of handholds underneath your current position. Make your way across to the right and drop down to the platform below. Follow the path here until you reach a series of wooden beams. Jump across these to the vine beyond, then shimmy to the right and wall run to the pole here. Climb up. Jump up to the next pole then across to the next one, climb around the back of this and jump across to the next pole. Jump from here onto a beam. Jump across the gap to the other beam nearby. Wallrun up to the block here and repeat the process to reach a ledge above. Enter the large room at the end of the short hallway for a story sequence⊠And a boss fight. ============================ Boss: Shadow War ============================ Moves: ---------------- > Spin Slash ----------â> a quick spinning attack that can be linked into a short combo. > Overhead Smash ------â> War will slam the ground in front of him, sending out a shockwave in the direction he is facing. > Jumping overhead Slamâ> Similar to the above attack but with a significantly larger range of effect and damage output. > Blade Geyser --------â> War will punch the ground, causing magical blades to emerge from the ground around him. Stay clear! ---------------- Strategy: ---------------- > As with the previous boss, lure War into attacks that render him temporarily > immobile â the overhead smashes are good for these. Dodge away from the > attacks and then dart in and give him a few hits and then back off again. If > he blocks, that is a good indication that he will follow up with a smash so > when you see it happen dodge away and then in for the kill. After you have > dealt enough damage to him a button prompt will display. Mash the indicated > button to deal some heavy damage. Continue to fight him until a scene plays > to end the fight. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Act 1 - The Forge Lands =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Act 1, Part 1 - Fire of the Mountain [ACT1A] =============================================================================== After regaining control of Death, you will be attacked by some new bad guys named constructs. They are slow moving and simple to take down, just avoid their attacks and smash them when they arenât attacking â easy! After a short battle and an additional scene you will be tasked with finding an artefact called âThe Fire of the Mountainâ. Here you will also be granted your first skill point. So follow the on-screen prompts to access the menu and choose an ability from either the Harbinger or Necromancer tree. When ready, exit the menu. Before going too far, look to the right of where you are and behind a giant statue you will find a chest containing some loot and gold. Here you will find a Tome statue. Use this if you wish. Continue to the left and talk to Alya here who will give you your next objectives. In a similar circular structure on the opposite side of the stone face you will find a shaman who you can talk to. After a short chat, he will open the doorway for you. Exit into the hallway beyond. Around the first corner, you will find a set of stars leading down to a hole full of water. On the right is a wall we can climb up with a wall run. But first, letâs jump down into the water. Dive down to find a Boatmanâs Coin which is similar to the artefacts war could find in the original game (we can exchange these with Vulgrim). You can use the blocks jutting out of the left hand wall to return to the stairs. Continue to attack him and dodging his attacks, once he has > taken enough damage, a scene will play. For victory, players will be awarded a weapon â Dark Avenger. The door will now be unlocked, so head on through. Open the chest in the hallway here for some loot/gold and continue through the doorway at the far end. Here you will see what looks like a giant hammer to your right. Opposite this is an open entryway, so head through here and find the chest tucked away in the corner. Return to the hammer â it turns out its really a lever! Push it around in circles until a scene plays. Huzzah! Youâve completed the Cauldron. Before leaving, destroy all the crates and other destructible to the right of the lever to find another Book of the Dead page. Exit through the door opposite the one you came in from. Look over the railing to see a Boatmanâs coin. Jump over and grab it on the way down. At the ground level, look to the right of the stairs to find a chest. Exit the door here and head out the left hand door to exit the dungeon. Talk to Karn and if you picked up the Shamanâs Craft side-quest, ask about Mordant Dew. Fast travel back to Tri-Stone and talk to Alya. Rather than using the death grip ring to swing back over to Karn right away, drop down to the ledge. Drop again so you are free falling, as you pass the edge, you should see another death grip ring. Swing over to this and climb up. Follow the passage around and climb the wall at the end to find yourself on a balcony overlooking the room. Here you will find a Book of the Dead page. Drop back down to the platform below and use the deathgrip ring to swing back to Karn. Backtrack through the door and look past the yellow crystals to the right. Grab the bomb plant from the ceiling with death grip and stick it on the crystals. After the crystals are destroyed, cruise inside and open the chest. Continue back down the stairs. Return to where you left the golem and around half way across the chain look to your right. See the chest there? Thereâs a hook just in front of it. Jump towards it and hit the death grip button to reach the platform. Open the chest and then wallrun back to the chain. ------------------- Heartstone Piece 1 ------------------- Follow Karn back to the Guardian room and into the passage on the East side of the area. In here kill of all the tainted constructs, grab the bomb nearby using death grip and toss it at the lever across the room. Cross the bridge when it rises. Upon entering the next room, head to the left across the beams and pull the lever here. On the wall behind this is a raised beam. Wallrun up to it and facing the centre of the room you will see a death grip hook. Swing to this and then again to the wall vine behind it. Work your way across the roof and grab the hook at the far end. Pull the lever here and then use the beams and handholds provided to return to the staring platform. Continue across the bridge into the next room. Throw the lever in here to send the lift down and go through the pair of doors here to enter a large room. As you enter you will see the Heartstone hanging from the ceiling. After a short scene, allow Karn to toss you over to a nearby platform. Use the beams and handholds as well as wallruns combined with death grip to make your way around to the next, central platform. When you arrive, look back at the death grip hook and use it to find yourself on the platform above. Grab the chest here. Return to the central platform and continue back towards Karn. At the end you will step on a pressure plate that will lower the gate in front of you. When it is down, use your death grip on Karn and he will toss you over to the next ledge on the opposite side of the room. Use death grip to fly over to the handholds and use wall run to get around the corner. At the first handhold here look up to see another one above. Jump up here and then climb up the ledge to find a chest. Drop back down and continue to the left. Once you reach the poles, drop down to the platform below and then drop down once more. Wallrun across the gap here and activate the golem. Ride it into the lava, look just to the left to see a chest on solid ground so head over there and grab it before heading to the right. Destroy the yellow crystals blocking the way and continue forward, around the corner to the right. Continue until you reach solid ground with a socket in it. Plant your golem here and shoot the target up the wall with the chain. At the top jump across to the hand holds and up to the platform above. Head over to the heartstone and use death grip on it for a scene. Karn will now pick it up and you will have to escort him back to the Guardian. Enter the elevator and throw the switch, you will have to defend yourself as the lift goes up as you will be attacked by a good number of tainted constructs. At the top, head through the few doors here and out to the guardian room. Wander around until you see a scene. ------------------- Heartstone Piece 2 ------------------- Afterwards, head over to where the scaffolding collapsed, use death grip to get across to the platform and enter the pipe here. You will be in a room divided by a trench running through the middle. Kill off the stingers that attack and head through the other pipe to your left here and step on the pressure plate in the room at the end. Karn will enter and open the door to the next area for you, so cruise on through. In the next room, let Karm throw you to the platform across the water and then continue across the water to the far platform using death grip on the hook in front and to the left. Kill the prowlers here. In this room here, pass the inactive golem and pile of debris in the centre of the room and go and destroy the objects in the North Eastern corner for a Boatmanâs Coin. Now go and activate the nearby golem. Roll it over to the south and into the slot in the elevator nearby. Shoot the switch across the other side of the room. Make your way to the raised block in the centre of the area and climb on top. Push the lever here to raise the two lifts up to the top of the room, if you let this go the platforms will descend, so we need to act quickly. The platform with the target on it has some handholds on the wall facing the switch in the centre, so once you have raised it to the top wait a second or two then wall run up and grab the handholds. Climb to the top, jump onto the golem's chain and about half way across turn left and jump over to the ledge here with the wall vine behind it. Climb the wall vine and use a combination of handholds and wall running to reach the next wall vine to the right. Drop down to the platform below. Pull the lever here to raise three bridges. Drop down into the water and hop out back at the entrance to the room. Head straight back across the two bridges that are now present and reclaim the golem from the lift. Bring it back to the main room and destroy the yellow crystals blocking the other exit. Continue through the tunnel into the next room where we will see another Heart of Stone. This room consists of a central structure housing the heart of Stone flanked by two pools of water. The pool on the left has access to another room above and the pool to the right has inactive machinery, a crushing device with a rock or two inside nearby and a lever that we cannot activate yet. At the far end of the room is a locked door. Use the golem to kill all the bad guys in here and from the locked door look to the right to see a raised platform with some yellow crystals. Destroy these with the extender arms and Karn will toss you up there. Open the chest here for the skeleton key. Drop down into the nearby pool of water and look for a drain to the left to find a Boatmanâs Coin, swim across to the opposite side of the room and wall run up to the wall vine. Climb to the top of the vine wall and use the handholds to go around to the right, jump and use the death grip hook to access the next wall vine above. Climb up and onto a platform to view a short scene. On the platform to the north here follow the ledge around to a chest. Drop down into the pool of water below. Swim to the North Eastern area of the map to find a Boatmanâs Coin. Resurface and look for the death grip ring nearby. Jump to the platform here and wall run up and use the death grip to access the handholds above, follow these around the corner to the right and when you reach the opposite side jump across the gap and use the death grip ring here. Climb up to the ledge above. Kill the prowlers here and then throw the switch to raise the water level in the main room. This will reactivate the machinery. Drop down to the platform below and to the left and use the handhold here to access the area above. Kill the prowlers here and loot the chest. Hop down into the water and use the death grip ring on the south western wall to return to the balcony overlooking the main room below. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ >> Note: At this point we can earn the achievement/trophy 'The Triple Lindy'. >> Whilst overlooking the room below, note the three balconies on the >> platform here. Cruise on past this and check out the lever â it will activate the crusher. Bring the golem over and stick it in the crusher, throw the switch and after the short scene you will now have a blue ball. Wheel that bad boy over to the skull door and use your key to enter. Drag the ball inside and kill the Earth Crag that appears and then place the blue ball in the socket on the floor here. This will open a gate at the back of the room. Wall jump using both walls to climb to the top of the room. Exit to the main area and use the death grip on the heart of stone for a scene. Karn will pick it up, so as before you need to simply backtrack to the Guardian room killing all the enemies along the way to proceed. As you enter the room with the bridges a short scene will play showing the water rising. It will also show you a newly reachable handhold allowing access to the platform to the left of the door Karn needs to go through. Jump in the water and climb up here. Enter the pipe and follow it back into the first room in the area that we entered following our last visit to the guardian room. Look in the blocked circular drain to the left for a Boatmanâs Coin. Make your way over and grab it before using the blocks and handholds on the far wall to return to the original platform. Head through the Northern tunnel here and activate the pressure plate, allowing Karn to come through. Return back through the pipe and then jump straight into the next pipe to the right. This will return you to the Guardian room for a scene. You will also notice that the lava has now cooled down thanks to the water and we can access the other side of the area. ------------------- Heartstone Piece 3 ------------------- Make your way to the south of the room and ignore the golem for now. Allow Karn to toss you over the wall. Pull the switch there to lower the gate. Head back outside and activate the golem. Bring him in and destroy the yellow crystals. Exit into the room at the end. Here you will see the final heart of stone at the far end of the room. Plant the golem in the socket in the centre of the room and use the block on the right hand side of the area to access a platform above. At the top use the death grip to leap across to the poles beyond and work your way around the corner to the left until you are back on solid ground. From here use the death grip on the heart of stone for a scene⊠and a boss fight! ============================ Boss: Corrupted Custodian ============================ Moves: ---------------- > Ground Slam ----â> The boss like just about every other one so far will slam the ground if you get too close. > Clap of Doom ---â> The boss will bring his hands together in front, this will do a fair bit of damage to you so avoid where possible. > Hurricane ------â> The boss will spin around with his arms out. This causes a great deal of damage and is not easy to avoid. If you see it coming back off! > Swipe/Slam Comboâ> The boss will take two swipes at you followed by an overhead slam. ---------------- Strategy: ---------------- > This guy is not all that hard. He is quite slow at times so you will be able > to dodge most of his attacks and then perform a combo on him whilst he stops > moving for a second. As you have the death grip you can also use it to draw > yourself to the bosses head and hack away a couple of times before dodging > biggest challenge you will face is the hurricane attack as he > will move quite fast and do a fair bit of damage. Instead what > you should do is wait for him to do the whip slam, dodge both energy waves > and then use your death grip to grab his head, get in close and throw 2-3 > slashes at his face. Then drop and roll away immediately as he stomps the > ground. Continue to do this. When he has taken a certain number of hits he > will lean over slightly and his head will turn blue for a short period of > time. Take this opportunity to use your death grip on it and slam him into > the ground. Run over and lay into him at this time. When he recovers he will > retain sandworm form for a little while and attempt to emerge beneath you, > you need to constantly be moving and dodging during this timer. Once he has > had enough he will climb back into the body. Fast travel to the Maw. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Act 2, Part 3 - The Court of Bones Pt 1 [ACT2C] =============================================================================== >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The Maw >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Phariseer's Tomb 2 swings -------> Phariseer will swing his weapons in two wide arcs in front of him. > Spinning Combo -> He will spin slowly around in a circle 4-5 times, donât bother trying to attack him at this point! > Overhead Slam --> He will jump in the air and smash the ground in attempt to hit you. > Zombie swarm ---> After taking enough damage, he will summon a swarm of around 10-15 skeletons. These consist of standard warrior classes, to archers and the occasional champion. ---------------- Strategy: ---------------- > Dodge his attacks and perform combos when the coast is clear until he > summons the first wave of skeletons. He will then start to utilise his > spinning attack. You will also notice he takes very little damage with the > skeletons about. You will need to destroy them all if you want to do any > real significant damage to the boss. After the first wave, continue dodging > and attacking when safe to do so until he summons a second group of > skeletons. This time these are not just the cannon fodder types as you will > now also have to deal with archer skeletons and some skeleton champions > before re-focusing your efforts on the boss. By this time he should be > almost dead so hack away until a scene plays to end the fight. You will be rewarded with the Interdiction ability - you can summon Dead lords! These guys are great and have the ability to pass through some walls, weigh down pressure plates for you and help you out in combat when necessary. Before exiting, letâs go and loot a few more chests. Step on the summoning circle on the floor nearby and summon a dead lord, send him over to stand on the pressure plate to open the gate, Open the green skull door again and head straight across the room. Drop down to the first level here. Enter the room down here to the south. Stand on the summoning circle and summon a Dead Lord. Send him through the gate to step on the pressure plate. Continue into the room at the end. Kill the mummies in here and look towards the statue. Behind it you will see a yellow crystal. There is a bomb plant in an alcove in the wall on the right side of the room so grab that and use it to bring the crystal down. Drop down the hole here and use the summoning circle to the right as you enter the room. Get the Dead Lord to activate the pressure plate in the centre of the room to allow you to loot the three chests. Be forewarned though, opening the chests will cause a large number of enemies to spawn including Skeletal Generals, wraiths and regular skeletons. I strongly recommend opening one at a time and dealing with the threat before opening the next. It is possible to clear out the entire room after opening all three chests in quick succession (I managed to do it the first time through), but you really don't need to. If worse comes to worse, and you feel a little overwhelmed you can get the Deadlord to help you by targeting him again with interdiction. In the corner to the far right as you enter you will find a Soul Arbiter's Seal scrawled on the wall. Now that we are all done with Phariseerâs Tomb, lets fast travel back to the dungeon entrance. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Act 2, Part 5 - The Court of Bones Pt 2 [ACT2E] =============================================================================== >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The Maw >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The Spine >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The Judicator's Tomb Two Swings ----> He will use his big sickle to throw two swings out in front of him. > Reverse Slash -> If you hit him in the back he will, swing his weapon back behind him as he turns. He will often do this move when recovering. > Vomit ---------> The tormentor will projectile vomit in a semicircular area in front of him, you'll want to avoid this. > Shouldercharge-> He will do a short, sharp shoulder charge that will knock you to the ground. > Triple Slam ---> The Tormentor will slam his sickle into the ground three times. ---------------- Strategy: ---------------- > This guy is fairly easy and there are no real tricks to taking him down. > Simply dodge his attacks and counter attack when you see an opening. He does > have a lot of health and a bigger move set than the regular enemies running > around, but shouldn't be too hard. Now that he is dead, head through the now open doorway and then climb the stairs opposite to the door at the top. Use the summoning circle here and get the Dead Lord to activate the pressure plate in the Northeast corner of the room. This will flip a couple of sections of wall around. Wallrun across to the second block and instead of jumping again, let him run until he drops and you will land on a platform with a chest. Wallrun over towards the platform with the Dead Lord and use your death grip on him to pull yourself across. Enter the nearby passageway. Inside turn to the left to find a Book of the Dead page, turn around and use death grip to cross the gap. Throw the switch at the top here and head over to the open gate nearby killing any skeletons that get in the way. Inside, follow the balcony around to the left to find a chest containing the skeleton key. Continue around to the other end of the room to find another chest here. Return to the previous room and drop down the hole next to the lever. Before heading back to the door, enter the hallway to the East of the summoning circle. In here the camera shouldchange and show you a death grip ring. wallrun up to this and up to the handhold. Move to the left and drop down to find a platform hosing a relic of Etu-Goth. Run back up to the previous handhold and use it to wallrun to the left to find a chest. Drop back down and return to where we fought the Tormentor. Kill the skeletons in here if you like and when you are ready, open the locked door to enter a the second tower, which is a tall circular room similar to the one containing the first soul. Cruise up the stairs to the right to find a death grip hook. Climb up to the central ledge. From here look to wards the next death grip hook and to the right to see another Book of the Dead page â death grip this. Now grab that ring nearby to start off a platforming sequence, continue along using all the hooks and handholds until you emerge at the top of the tower. Grab the soul from the cage here. Grabbing this will trigger an undead stalker and a pair of skeletal champions to spawn. Dispatch them and drop back down to the room just to the right of the statue here to find a set of broken stairs below with a chest Drop down into the water at the bottom to find a Boatmanâs Coin. Backtrack back to the Judicator. --------------- The Third Soul --------------- After a quick chat, the Judicator will now open the final door for you. Move over to the South and through to the next area. Wallrun across to the other side of the gap and go through the door. Use the summoning circle there for Dead Lord backup before heading into the circular room ahead. Kill the undead general that attacks you at this point. After the fight, you will notice you are in a lift similar to the one we encountered in the Phariseerâs Tomb. Hit the crystal indicating level 2 and it will raise, but it will stop short, and you will see it has been blocked by yellow crystals. At this point look around to see two pressure pads, one in an alcove to the East and another on a passage to the West. Send your Dead Lord to stand on the stitch on the west side of the room. Enter the East passage and climb up to the platform above. At the top, use the handholds to the right to wallrun around the length of the room to the balcony opposite. From here you will be able to see the pressure plate on the Eastern side of the room. Send the dead lord over to sit on it. Use the handhold to your right to move around the corner and climb up a couple of blocks to reach a handhold above. Wallrun to the right until you reach the platform with the bomb plant. Grab this and sent it down to destroy the yellow crystals blocking the life below. This will bring the lift up to your level. Go through the door to the south. Check out the pool in front of you for a Boatmanâs coin and continue up the nearby stairs. Use death grip to climb up to the platform here and grab the final soul from the cage. Attempt to leave the room to initiate a boss battle. ============================ Boss: The Bone Keeper ============================ Strategy: ---------------- > The Bone Keeper will hang suspended from the roof out of range of your melee > capabilities for the duration of the will however continue to summon > wave after wave of skeletons at you. Fight them until you have breathing room > to fire off a few shots at the bone keeper with your pistol, and then return > to killing skeletons. Repeat until he is dead. Itâs not over yet though! As the Bone Keeper bites the dust, a new challenger appears⊠============================ Boss: Bone Giant ============================ Moves: ---------------- > Lunge Punch â> He will move towards you and swing twice at you. ---------------- Strategy: ---------------- > This boss plays out in essentially the same way as the ice giant from the > prologue. He is big and slow moving, let him perform his attack then go in > for the kill. Rinse and repeat. When he is dead, return to where you jumped up and rather than dropping down right away, follow the railing around to the right to find a Book of the Dead page. Drop down to the room below and head all the way back to the Judicator. After a short scene you will get a new objective and a message indicating the completion of the dungeon, huzzah! Note that when using interdiction from now on you will have two dead lords to command. We are all done here so feel free to fast travel back to the Eternal Throne. If you feel like restocking potions or selling your trash, go for it. Continue along the road to the south and into the building at the southeast for a chest (open during a break in the fighting). Continue to the east and look in the first opening in the buildings on your right for another chest containing the Dungeon Map. Ignore the open door across the street for now and turn to the right. Follow this street all the way north for a Relic of Renagoth. Turn around and you should be able to spot an angel hanging on the building to the right. Kill this (4/10). Return to the corner and head into the building to the right. Exit out the other side and march straight across the road and into the building directly opposite the alleyway you are in to find a Book of the Dead page. Follow the road to the west and when you reach the dead end, turn around. You should be able to make out an angel hanging on the building in front of you slightly to the right. Kill it (5/10). After that, drop down at the end of the roadâŠFor a mini-boss fight! ============================ Boss: The Noss ============================ Strategy: ---------------- > This guy is not too hard as all he will do is summon stingers to attack you, > and unleash a sonic wave that will push you back and do damage if you are > silly enough to get close to him. If you have the grenade launcher just keep > sticking him until he falls whilst dodging the stingers and other zombies in > the area. If you have the rapid fire weapon, just aim for the green bits on > his body until he drops and use it on the stingers when they get too close > for comfort. After the fight, check out the western side of the area for a stone which can be shot for a Stone of Resistance. Also check the south west corner for a Boatmanâs Coin. Continue down the road here and into the tunnel. Follow the tunnel around to the left, killing zombies as they come. When you reach the red crystals at the end, look behind you and in a short dead end tunnel you will find a chest. Look above this to the ceiling for a crystal to shoot for a Stone of Power. Climb the ramp to the right of the red crystals that are blocking the road and in the very south eastern corner up on the ledge you will find another angel to kill (6/10). Jump down and run through the door to the north into a maintenance area. Follow the passage through and exit back out into the traffic tunnel . If you look at your mini map here you can see a small side loop to the east so run in here and you will find another angel (7/10). Return to the traffic tunnel and kill the suffering demon out here. At the north end of the area, head down into some water tunnels. Keep an eye out to the right when re-entering the drain for a Boatmanâs Coin. Continue up the ramp to the north and immediately enter the room to the left to find writing on the wall that counts as a Soul Arbiterâs Sacred Scroll and then return to the main room, kill the suffering demon and then destroying the green door in the back right hand corner of the room for the second piece of the rod. Follow the passageway behind the green door to the end and drop down to the area below. Ahead you should see a group of angels chilling out in front of another one of those yellow tainted barriers. Approach the holy posse and you be treated to a scene. Afterwards, the entrance will now be accessible. Beforegoing through however, turn around and look to the right to see a blue car parked with its back against a wall. Head over here and look just beside it as hidden in the corner next to it is a Book of the Dead page. Return to the tunnel and look to the right for a Boatmanâs Coin. Now proceed onwards into the tunnel. ---------------------- Third piece of the rod ---------------------- Follow the passage down and around as indicated on the mini map. There are collectibles here so just keep moving. Climb up the stairs and as you reach the exit a scene will play and you will have to fight another Noss. As with the first time around stick to shooting the green spots on his body and shooting down any of the stingers that get too close to you. After killing the Noss and mopping up any remaining stingers, continue to the west, ignoring the path north for the moment. When you reach the edge, look down to see another angel (8/10). Return to the intersection and head north. As you get around a quarter of the way along the road to the north a suffering demon will arrive so shoot it as you back up until its dead and then continue north. You will run into another suffering demon as you go, so repeat the process as before and then once again head up the bridge to the north (third time lucky!). When you reach the hole in the bridge, look down at the support on the left and shoot the blue crystal here for a Stone of Mystics. Continue onwards and when you reach the hole in the road with the red spikes sticking out, duck into the small room to the left for a Boatmanâs Coin. Continue onwards and youâll get a checkpoint. At this point we have reached a dead end, so turn around and climb the concrete ramp up to a higher level. So now after trekking all the way out to this point, we need to head all the way back again to the south. As we start our journey along the highway, a scene will play and a noss will appear at the far end of the bridge and start making its way towards you. Take it down using the same tactics that worked previously. After it is dead, cruise up the bridge a bit and then turn around and look up at the supports to find another angel (9/10). Continue to the south until you reach the end of the road. Here turn to the left and head up the convenient ramp here. Destroy the green door here for the final piece of the rod. Inside, follow the hallway around and pick up the chest. Head into the hole in the wall opposite to find a relic of Etu-Goth. Continue along the passage here and exit into the large room and look to the right immediately as you enter to see a hole in the wall with some floating gauntlets in it. Jump in and grab this for the special weapon â fists of Elhazar. From here you can also look across the room and slightly to the left to find a blue crystal to shoot for a Stone of Power. Exit through the door down the bottom of the room here and when trekking through the hallway, look inside the hole in the wall on the left for a Boatmanâs Coin. Continue along the hallway to find the final angel (10/10).Drop down to find yourself in the courtyard. A scene will play. Afterwards, if you killed all 10 angels, speak to Uriel for your reward â a secondary weapon named Sunder. We can place a portal on these. Place two portals on two different pads and youâll be able to instantly travel between them. Handy! --------------------------------- Cleansing the first Water Source --------------------------------- Create a portal on the pad here and a second up on the balcony above. Exit back through the door and death grip across the gap again. Kill the corrupted angels hanging out here and then use your voidwalker on the blue pad to the left and then look over to the platform over to the right to find another pad to shoot. Upon exiting, look to the right to see another pad on an earlier platform that is angled downwards towards a yellow crystal. Create a portal on that pad and another on the pad here. Next have death grab a bomb and throw it through the portal to destroy the crystal and revealing a chest. Jump through the portal to grab the chest and then return all the way back to where we just portaled from. When you are back on the far eastern platform, continue around the broken wall here to find a switch before another closed circular door on the floor. Hit the switch to open the door and drop down. Continue forward and at the intersection, turn right to find a chest. Now, do a 180 degree turn and place a portal on the pad directly behind you. Continue down the remaining branch of the hall here and place a charged portal on the pad at the end (hold down the button to do this). Return to the portal you placed on the wall and jump through to launch up from the portal on the ground and into a new area. From this platform, death grip across the gap and into the doorway in front. Kill the aryfids that appear here. Enter the door at the far end. Use the portal pad to the left and throw a second portal across to the pad on the platform in front. Mosey on through and deal with the corrupted angels here. Cross the bridge nearby and kill more corrupted angels here. You will see a portal pad on the piece of wall here. Head around to the other side of this wall and destroy the destructibles on the back. A chest will spawn. Loot that and from here, look behind a nearby tree for a Boatmanâs Coin. Remember how the activated golden sphere could interact with another and cleanse tainted areas like in the very first room of the dungeon? There is an inactive sphere here and if you look to the southwest you will see an active sphere next to a portal pad. Place a portal on that pad, and then one on the portal pad on your current platform to cleanse the corruption here and unveil a way for us to continue forwards. Continue across the now accessible bridge and follow the passage at the base of the tower around to the right. Kill the swam of vengeful spirits that attack here. Go into the opening and place a regular portal on the pad on the floor and a charged up portal on the pad on the wall nearby. Return outside and continue left. Hug the wall and look behind the next pillar to find a Boatmanâs Coin. From this location you can also look up and towards the stone arch above the stairs in front of you. Shoot the blue stone here for a Stone of Mystics. Ascend the stairs and enter the door at the top. Kill the party of aryfids in here and the corrupted angels that follow. Park Death in the centre of the circular platform on the floor of the room and use soul splitter. Send each of the copies to one of the hanging beam switches on either side of the room. When both have been activated, the floor should open, sending Death down into the portal below and across to the ledge above. Find the handholds nearby and get your platforming on to reach the top of the tower. Once you reach the top, look left and activate the portal pad, continue and do a U-turn around the pool of death fluid in the centre of the area. Look down to the North and activate the portal pad next to the activated golden sphere to cleanse the pool here. Now that the death fluid has been cleansed, jump into it and continue along the aqueduct to the north. At the second drop down on the aqueduct look behind the falling water for a Relic of Renegoth. Continue north until you drop down to another circular pool. From here continue to follow the water here until you reach the yellow crystals on the left. Grab the bomb plant from opposite and use it to get rid of the crystals. Climb the wall vine that had been blocked by the crystals to access the balcony above. Enter the door here. We are back in the black waterfall room we entered near the start of the area. Note that one of the streams has now been cleansed and water is flowing in. Looks like we have to go ahead and cleanse two more water sources! Continue around the platform and exit the door on the other side. --------------------------------- Cleansing the Second Water Source --------------------------------- Cruise through the hallway and exit outside. Move forward and up the first flight of stairs. Jump over the railing to the right to find a chest. Climb back up, return to the doorway we entered from and check out the room. At the top of the stairs in front youâll locate a locked skull door and to your right a yellow crystal blocks the path. As there are very few other options available, make your way to the left and drop down to the platform below. Enter the gate here to run into a new enemy â a corrupted champion. Watch out for the charge and ground slam attacks and youâll kill him in no time. When the corrupted champion dies, another one will spawn alongside a pair of corrupted angels. Kill them all and the door behind will open. Enter and turn left. Follow the hallway until it exits into the base of the tower here. Check out the opening to the left first and follow the outer wall around to the south to find a Book of the Dead page hidden behind a piece of corruption that looks like a spider web. Return inside and drop down the hole to the platform below. Here weâll find an activated golden sphere. Weâll be using this a little later, but for now exit to the balcony and kill the corrupted angels. Afterwards a scene will play. Death grip across to the handhold and then use your platforming abilities to continue to the left and up the wall at the end. When you reach the balcony turn right and follow the path until you reach a golden switch. Activate this to open a gate back to the tower we were in previously. From here perform a 180 degree turn to spot a Relic of Renegoth sitting in the corner opposite. Return to where we just climbed up from and letâs have a look at the two rotating switches. You will notice that they control the two sections of wall nearby with portal pads on them. Letâs jump into soul splitter mode. Have the first clone rotate the southernmost switch until the section of wall lowers the entire way. Use the second clone to fire a portal onto the pad on the now exposed second wall section. Fire a second portal at the pad opposite at the base of the tower. Switch back to clone 1 and release the switch to raise the wall again. Now change back to controlling clone 2 and walk over to the portal pad at the base of the tower. Through this you should be able to see a portal pad on the back of the first section of wall. Shoot a charged portal through and this should create a portal on the back of the first section of wall. Change back to the first clone and use the other switch to lower the other section of wall. Now that the path is clear, jump through the portal at the base of the tower as clone 2 to fly over to a new area. Pull the switch to open the gate here. Return to normal mode. Enter the main tower again and drop down the hole in the floor. Activate the portal pad next to the activated golden sphere. Head back to the gate we just opened and from the platform here wallrun across to the south east (note the corrupted water in the passage between two holes in the walls here â thereâs a secret in here we will come back for later). Kill the corrupted angels on the platform here and loot the chest for the skeleton key. Climb the handholds nearby and use the bomb plant at the top to destroy the yellow crystals. Proceed to the door at the top of the stairs and use the skeleton key to unlock it. Place a second portal on the blue portal pad in here and the golden orb will become activated, cleansing the pool beneath it. Look above the doorway to the north for a crystal we can shoot for a Stone of Resistance. Follow the aqueduct south and death grip across to the far platform for a chest. Climb up the hand holds here and rather than going through the door, drop down and go to where you destroyed the crystals before. Drop down to the platform below and enter the now cleansed side passage through the hole in the wall to find a GnoMADâs Gnome. Return to the cleansed aqueduct. This time head north along it and after the first drop, turn around and look behind the water for a Relic of Etu-Goth. Follow the water until you can go no further, then climb up the nearby wall and enter the door at the top. --------------------------------- Cleansing the Final Water Source --------------------------------- Weâre back in the waterfall room again! Kill the corrupted angels that spawn on the balcony here and then look at the statue in the centre of the room. There is a blue crystal on its chest you can shoot for a Stone of Power. Exit through the open door on the opposite side of the platform from where we entered. Continue along to the left, into the room here. Drop down into the water here for a Boatmanâs Coin. Proceed across the pool here and climb out. Follow the cave and make your way to the exit. Head down the first set of stairs and loot the chest. Continue to the bottom of the second set of stairs. Use the voidwalker on the portal pad in front of you and then look down to the platform on the right and activate the second pad here. Death grip your way across and into the portal to find yourself on that lower platform. Look up and to the right to see another portal pad here. Placed a charge portal on this and return through the portal at ground level to launch yourself towards the next platform. Death wonât quite make it, so allow him to wall run across to the next area. As soon as you land look in the corner in front of you behind the corruption for a Boatmanâs Coin. Look to the right to see a portal we can wallrun to so activate that. Next, look down to the right to see another portal pad below. You will need to place a charged up portal on this one. When preparations are complete wallrun into the first portal on the wall to the right. Upon leaving the second portal climb up to the platform on the right. Enter the circular room here to meet a new enemy - the sycophant. These guys will teleport all over the place and try to catch you off guard. Keep an eye out for charging electricity, if you see this, dodge because the sycophant is invisible in this area and is about to unleash a charge attack at you. Thereâs not much else to them really, just wait for them to attack, dodge it and then lay into them. After killing three of these things, the door will open, granting you access to the next area. Go down the ramp and in the next circular area, head straight past the activated golden orb to the broken balcony, look behind the door frame for a Book of the Dead page. Continue up the next ramp to find a rotating switch. Enter soul splitter mode and use the first clone to rotate the switch to create an opening in front. Switch to the second clone and pull the block out through the opening. Return to normal mode and have Death jump onto the crate. Re-enter soul splitter mode and have clone 1 activate the switch and clone 2 push the block with Death on top into the next room. Return to normal mode. Exit through the only non-blocked opening and continue past the switch to the end. Drop down here to find a portal pad and a Soul Arbiterâs Sacred Scroll. Shoot a portal at the pad here. Climb up the nearby wall and enter soul splitter mode. Rotate the switch here until a portal pad appears in front of you. Switch to the second clone and shoot the portal here. Have the first clone release the switch and then have clone 2 jump down to the portal pad below. Through the portal, you should be able to see a second portal. Fire a charged portal at this. Have the first clone rotate the switch again. Get the second clone to jump through the portal and grab the chest here. Note the second golden sphere here. Return to normal mode to reset your clones. Re-enter soul splitter mode. From the switch, disable the portal on the ledge below and have one of your clones return to the first circular room. To the left of the entrance is a ledge we can drop down to. Get the clone to head down here and use the available handholds to climb up the other side. From here we can shoot the portal pad next to the activated golden sphere. Have clone 2 rotate the switch until you see the second golden orb activate. Let go of the switch and the golden orb in the first room will activate, destroying the corruption here and giving you access to the next area. Return to normal mode again and go to where the corruption was removed. Activate the portal pad here, then enter the opening in the wall to the left and shoot the second portal pad on the ceiling in here to cleanse the death fluid. Check out the corruption ahead and to the left as you enter. Hidden behind it is a Relic of Khagoth. Jump into the water here and continue through the opening. As soon as you go through, jump over the edge to the right for a chest. Return to the aqueduct from here look to the southwest and you should be able to make out a blue crystal on top of one of the stone arches. Shoot it for a Stone of Power. Continue along the aqueduct until you can go no further. Jump out to the right and wall run over to the next platform. Activate the portal pad her and then look through the hole in the wall nearby to see another. Shoot a portal on this one too and then head through portal number one. Drop down into the cave below. Head to the right and enter the water, in the pool here you will find a Boatmanâs Coin. Exit and continue along the set path until you return to the man-made tunnel. Make your way to the left and pull the switch at the end to open the door. We are back in the waterfall room again, this time it is completely clear of corruption so we can head across the water and into the door to the north. As you enter, look behind the statue to your left for a statue of Etu-Goth. Shoot the portal pad directly in front of you, then look up and shoot a charged portal at the portal pad above. Run through to end up on a suspended water platform. Turn around and disable the portal you just came through. Now look up behind you to see another pad. Use a charged portal on this. Drop down to the ground floor and hop through to end up on the top platform. When you arrive, look to the left to see an opening. Shoot the portal pad on the roof here and wall run back to the portal we just came through to exit into the side room. Here you will find a chest and if you look up at the roof, a green crystal we can shoot for a Stone of Resistance. Cancel the portal on the roof and jump over the ledge down to the ground floor. Activate the portal here again and jump back through to the top level. Wallrun to the far platform, open the door here and climb the stairs to the top. Enter the room for a boss fight. ============================ Boss: Jemaerah the Scribe ============================ Moves: ---------------- > Rapid Fire ---â> He will open a book in front of him and shoot out yellow projectiles in a rapid fire fashion. > Rune Attack â--> You will see him charge up and fire off this attack as a large energy ball. > Belly Tentacleâ> If you get too close to him, his stomach will open and he can do some serious damage to you with the tentacle here. > Slam â---------> He will fly up to the top of the room and slam down. You will have to time a jump to avoid taking damage from this. > Summon -------â> after taking enough damage, he will summon corrupted angels to assist him. > Lasers --------> In the dying stages of the fight, the scribe will retreat to the top of the room and fire lasers down at you. ---------------- Strategy: ---------------- > Note the portal pads around the room. You need to activate two of these and > stand in front of one of them. Get the scribe to use his rune attack and > then dodge. The attack will go through the portal and hit him, subsequently > stunning him. Run in and attack him whilst he is stunned. Do this enough and > when he has taken sufficient damage he will start using the slam attack. As > he does he will also summon corrupted angels. Kill the angels quickly and > repeat the process of getting the scribe to use his rune attack on you in > front of the portals. Once he has taken enough damage, he will put up a > shield that makes him invulnerable and retreat to the top of the room. At > this point he will start firing deadly lasers down at you. To defeat him, > simply shoot one portal up at one of the pads around top of room and then a > second portal on the floor in the centre of the room where he was initially > sitting. Drop down to the next platform and use the wall to your right to wall run around to the other side of the room. Grab the chest on the right here for a skeleton key. As you do, the door nearby will unlock. Ignore this for now and run past it into the corner behind. Wallrun back and forward up the walls here. At the top, wallrun to the right and around the corner to the handholds and climb up to the ledge with a chest. Grab this and then return to the door next to the skeleton key chest. Enter the door and weâll be back on the balcony outside. Run as far as you can forward and then look to the right to see a gap in the railing here. Drop down from here and use the key on the skull door to your right. Inside, kill the stalker that drops down into the room. After it is dead, grab the two chests in the southern side of the room before heading to the northwest corner and dropping down the hole here. In front of you, you should see a staircase leading down with a handhold above it. Wall run back and forth between the left and right walls to reach this handhold and then wallrun back and forth all the way to the right to find a ledge at the end housing a Book of the Dead page. Drop down into the pool of water below and dive to the very bottom to find an underwater tunnel. Follow this to the end to find an underground cave. Move forward to fight the optional boss monster Gorewood. ============================ Boss: Gorewood ============================ Moves: ---------------- > Homing rootsâ> He will summon roots that will follow you around the room. You will need to dodge continually to avoid them. If they hit Death, they will entangle him, holding you in place. Mash the button to escape. > Swipe ------â> A stock standard melee attack if you get too close. > Slam â-------> a typical ground slam. > Charge -----â> He will shoulder charge you from time to time. This is easily avoided by dodging to the side. ---------------- Strategy: ---------------- > Gorewood is a large, nature-themed construct very similar to Blackroot (the > Sticks and Stones quest giver). He can be pretty tough if you try to take > him on the first time you come through the Weeping Crag and whilst it is not > impossible to beat him at lower levels, I would still suggest waiting until > you are level 6-10 before returning to take him on. Gorewood has a bit of > control over nature, however with the right gear, just like many of the > bosses in the game, he can be a pushover. For the most part, players will be > drawing Gorewood into using his charge and melee attacks so they can dodge > and lay a few attacks on him afterwards. It is really only the root attack > you need to concern yourself with. When he pulls out the root attack, > continually dodge until he finishes using it. If he does manage to hit you > with it, mash the button indicated on screen to escape before he starts > wailing on you. Afterwards, resume the previous tactic of baiting, dodging > and counter attacking until he falls. You will be rewarded with the Gorewood Maul - a legendary secondary weapon for defeating him. After the fight, check the room out to find a chest and a Stone of Power. Donât let > him corner you or you will be dead in a hurry! To reposition yourself, you > will have to use the handholds on either side of the bridge to get around > behind him and recommence the attack. To damage him, you will need to run up > and hack away at his body until he starts to either slam/swipe at you or > rear his head back to do his fire breath move. Dodge these attacks and > retreat to make him come to you. Continue darting in and out, punishing him > where you can until you have no space left to manoeuvre. When this happens, > use the handholds to get around behind him â watch out for his tail whip > though! Repeat this strategy until he kicks the bucket. ------------------- Alternate Strategy: ------------------- > On the bridge, wait near a handhold for Bhethir to come flying in near the > far end. When he is within range, empty your gun into him. He'll start > breathing fire shortly after, so fall off to the side. Let him charge right > past you (while still hanging) and when his fire breath on the bridge stops, > get up and walk upto him, now at the other end of the bridge. > You can now empty your gun exactly 3 times before he starts charging again. > Do this while walking back so that he follows you, and make sure you are > next to a handhold after the 3rd time. Fall to the side again, he'll charge > by again, repeat this until he's dead. > > Although the damage from the gun isn't that high, I found this to be a fast > and safe strategy without any damage. He has a big shield and a big mace and can hit you with > both. The fight plays out the same as many boss battles, luring him into > performing attack before dodging and striking him whilst he pauses. The freeze slam will > do a good deal of damage by itself, however when the kingâs mace hits the > ground, even if it doesnât hit you and you are too close you will be frozen > in a block of ice. Like Gharn, after taking enough damage, > he will slump to his knees giving you a free shot at him for around 5 > seconds before exploding and re-forming â stay clear when he does this. > In addition, around half way through the fight Ghorn will summon tainted > constructs to attack you (only 2 at a time though) and will begin to use > his bubbling lava move. Go and have a chat with the Chancellor about it. He will give you a new quest â âThe Chancellorâs Quarryâ and update your quest log for you. Return to Nathaniel and enlighten him to the news. Nathaniel will then send you to have a chat with Muria in the Forge Lands. Return to the Forgelands and speak to the Shaman at Tri-Forge. She wants you to track down and kill 10 tortured angels on Earth. This side-quest can be completed as you make your way through the story level on Earth. After they are all dead, head to Uriel to complete the quest and be rewarded with a legendary secondary weapon - Sunder. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== The Book of the Dead [SDQTP] =============================================================================== Start Location: Vulgrim Vulgrim wants you to gather all 40 pages of the Book of the Dead. You can find a list of all 40 pages in the Collectible guide area below - The Book of the Dead locations can be found here [CLTBD]. You can return the books to Vulgrim in blocks of 10. As you do he will give you Bone Keys which will unlock Death Tombs in each of the four worlds. --------------------- Death Tomb Locations: --------------------- - Forge Lands --------> After giving Vulgrim 10 Book of the Dead pages you can open the door next to The Lost Temple to find this. - Kingdom of the Dead-> After giving Vulgrim 20 Book of the Dead pages you can open the door at the bottom of the spiral staircase in The Lair of the Deposed King to find this. - Lostlight ----------> After giving Vulgrim 30 Book of the Dead pages you can open the door on the left of the main path leading from the Tree of Life to the Crystal Spire to find this. - Shadow's edge ------> After giving Vulgrim 40 Book of the Dead pages you can open the door near Osteogoth in Shadow's Edge on the main path leading from the Tree of Death. Once you have turned in all 40 pages of the Book of the Dead to Vulgrim, you will complete the quest. Once you have acquired relics, you can return to Osteogoth in either the Kingdom of the Dead or Shadow's Edge and sell them to him. Once all four have been found, you will recieve a message telling you to visit a Serpent Tome. Go to a Serpent tome and open the mail from GnoMAD to earn a new legendary item - GnoMAD Scythes. They come in several flavors (Boatman's Coins, Book of the Dead pages, Special Stones, Lost Relics, Soul Arbiter items and Gnomad's Gnomes) and each type has its own uses in game. This guide will help you find all of them! =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Boatman's Coins [CLTBC] =============================================================================== Throughout Death's journey, players will be able to find Boatman's Coins. Floating diamond-shaped coins with a green glow. These can be traded to Vulgrim in various amounts for chests containing randomised loot of varying quality. There are 100 Boatman's Coins scattered throughout the four realms Death visits on his travels. Unlike the rest of the collectibles in the game, the Boatman's Coins are not linked to any achievements/trophies or side-quests, so collecting them is either a pursuit for completionists or for those trying to secure some beasty gear from Vulgrim. Heres a list of the coins by realm: -------------------------- The Forge Lands (45 Coins) -------------------------- 01. Tri-Stone -------> In the tunnel between Tri-Stone and Stonefather's Vale in the pool of water at the bottom of the broken flight of stairs. 02. Baneswood -------> Just to the right of the entrance, after an outcropping and in a side area you can climb a ramp here to find another Boatmanâs coin. 03. Baneswood -------> Exit Baneswood through the circular door leading to the Charred Pass and look to the right to see a Boatmanâs Coin. 04. Baneswood -------> On the southern aspect of the square shapes structure on the west of the map. You will need the death grip to be able to get to this one. 05. The Charred Pass-> Ride South along the road towards the Charred Pass until you see a giant log semi-blocking the path. It is hollow. Look inside to find a Boatmanâs Coin. 06. The Charred Pass-> Continue South, as you do look to your right for a broken golden archway. At its base you will find a pool of water dive down here and nearby you will find a Boatmanâs Coin. 07. The Cauldron ----> Head north from the room with the skull key door. As you enter the next room you will be standing in front of a lava pit, move to the edge and look down to see a Boatmanâs coin and platform you can walk down to grab it. 08. The Cauldron ----> Once you have killed the stalker for the reagent for the Shaman's Craft side-quest, destroy the destructibles in the north of the room. 09. The Cauldron ----> After unlocking the skull door, grab the ball on the right side of the room and push it into the socket on the floor, this will flip a section of wall on the left side of the room. Climb up to the handhold here and shimmy all the way to the right. Lean back and jump into the room to grab another Boatmanâs Coin. 10. The Cauldron ----> After the puzzle room with the two blue balls, you will enter a room where you'll need to raise a cauldron out of the the crates in this room for the coin. 11. The Cauldron ----> After defeating the boss and pulling the lever to complete the dungeon. Exit through the door opposite the one you came in from. Look over the railing to see a Boatmanâs coin. Jump over and grab it on the way down. 12. Stonefather's vale -> To the left of the gate leading to Shadow Gorge. 13. Shadow Gorge ----> Jump into the pool of water in front of the entrance to The Shattered Forge, follow the wall all the way to the right to find this one hidden in a corner. 14. Shadow Gorge ----> After destroying the stinger nest in front of the locked gate, look to the left to see some yellow crystals. Use your pistol to shoot the bomb growth here to take it out and then climb the wall. Drop over the ledge to the left to find another Boatmanâs Coin. 15. Shadow Gorge ----> After working your way through the indoor area, go through the gate opposite the entrance and turn immediately to the right for another Boatmanâs Coin. 16. The Fjord -------> As you enter, look ahead and to the right to see another Boatmanâs Coin. 17. The Fjord -------> Continue through the Fjord until you reach the ruins on the lake. Itâs time to go for a swim. Swim out to the right and under the broken, submerged bridge and here you will find a Boatmanâs Coin. 18. The Fjord -------> Look at your map and observe the northeastern part of The Fjord. Ride up here to find a doorway. Inside we will find two chests and if you look in the hole in the wall to the right as you enter, you will find a Boatmanâs Coin. 19. The Fjord -------> Use death grip to climb up to the top of the larger ruin on the lake (The U-shaped building). At southern end, look down between the two wings of the structure to see the coin floating here. Use death grip to grab it. There are also two chests around this area to loot! 20. The Fjord -------> From the major structure on the lake, look to the East. See the rocky outcrop here? We need to get on top of it. Continue up the path as if you were going to the Drenchfort to access the outcrop and look over the ledge to the north. You should see it floating there. Grab it with deathgrip. 21. Drenchfort ------> In the northern puzzle room of the western wing of the dungeon. The coin is sitting atop a portcullis in the centre of the area dividing the two smaller rooms. 22. Drenchfort ------> After activating the first water source, return to the main area with the giant statue. From the balcony, drop down into the water. Find the tunnel down here and swim to the end to find another Boatmanâs Coin. 23. Drenchfort ------> After releasing the first water source into the main room, swim through the tunnel to the north. Climb to the top of the room here and exit into the next area. A scene will play and you will have to fight off some prowlers and a stalker. After the fight check out the destructibles to the left of the door you came in from for the coin. 24. Drenchfort ------> After releasing the second water source, you will need to detour to the skeleton key room to pull a lever to get the water to flow in the right direction. Once you have pulled the switch, turn around and you will see a Boatman's Coin floating above the skeleton key room. 25. Drenchfort ------> After activating the second water source and returning to the main room with the giant statue. Upon exiting the door, turn left and walk towards the back of the statue until you see the handhold below you. Drop down to the platform below this to find a Boatmanâs Coin. 26. The Nook --------> After first entering the Nook from baneswood, at the top of the stairs, look to the left for a chest, then cruise down the passage next to the stairs into the corner and destroy all the objects here for a Boatmanâs Coin. 27. The Nook --------> In the north east corner of the courtyard area mixed in with some destrucible stuff next to a stone arch. 28. The Nook --------> Exit through the northern door of the courtyard. In the next room, jump into the water and swim down until you find an opening in the central structure. You'll find a coin isnide. 29. The Nook --------> After getting the death grip, return to the Nook. From the courtyard, go down the spiral stairs to the cavern below. You will see death grip rings here now. Swing across to the first platform for the coin. 30. Lost Temple -----> In the room where you first encounter the sentinels (also with the skull locked door). In some destructibles to the right of the entrance door. 31. Lost Temple -----> This one is in the large room with a water hazard in the middle and an inactive construct on the far side that we need to activate. Drop down in the water here and swim to the far left hand corner from the entrance to find a Boatmanâs Coin. 32. Lost Temple -----> In the room after fighting off six sentinels in a row you will find that the door at the far end of the room is locked, so cruise into the door on the left. Wallrun from wall to wall to reach the far end of the gap here safely. As soon as you land, look behind and to the right to find a Boatmanâs Coin. 33. Lost Temple -----> In the outdoor area after wall jumping back and forth up the waterfall, you will find this one hidden behind a tree at the eastern side of the area. 34. Lost Temple -----> In the room before the boss chamber in some destructibles on the left side of the room. 35. The Foundry -----> After restoring the bridge from Tri-stone to the Foundry cross over it and look behind the pillars at the far end for the coin. 36. The Foundry -----> In the room near the start with the submerged golem. Go to the far Eastern side of the room and Karn will happily toss you up on top of the gate here. Drop down into the room below and into the pool in the centre. Underwater here you will see an inactive golem. Ignore this for now and look the right hand corner from where you entered to find a Boatmanâs Coin. 37. The Foundry -----> On the way to the second heart stone piece. continue until Karm throws you to a platform across a body of water and then continue across the water to the far platform using death grip on the hook in front and to the left. In this room, pass the inactive golem and pile of debris in the centre of the room and go and destroy the objects in the North Eastern corner for a Boatmanâs Coin. 38. The Foundry -----> In the room with the second heart stone piece in a pool on the right as you enter (beneath the machinery). 39. The Foundry -----> In the room with the second heart stone piece, climb the wall to the north using the vie wall and drop down into the pool on the other side. Swim to the north east part of the area for the coin. 40. The Foundry -----> After obtaining the second heart stone piece, you'll need to return to the guardian. As you enter the room with the bridges a short scene will play showing the water rising. It will also show you a newly reachable handhold allowing access to the platform to the left of the door Karn needs to go through. Jump in the water and climb up here. Enter the pipe and follow it back into the first room in the area that we entered following our last visit to the guardian room. Look in the blocked circular drain to the left for a Boatmanâs Coin. 41. The Weeping Crag-> Ride from Stonefatherâs Vale into the Weeping Crag. When you reach a paved section, look to the left to see a ledge we can climb. Drop down into the pool of water here and swim south to find a Boatmanâs Coin. 42. The Weeping Crag-> if you have the voidwalker, look to the left at the top of the wall to see a portal pad. Shoot this, and in the next hallway look up to the left to see another portal pad on the roof. Shoot this. Return to the other portal and cruise through. Grab the three chests here and jump into the water at the back of the room. Dive down and find the tunnel leading south. Surface at the end of the passage to find a GnoMAD's Gnome on a ledge in front. From here jump down into the pool below and look in the northwest corner of the room for a Boatmanâs Coin we can walljump up to. 43. The Shattered Forge -> After entering the dungeon, drop down into the water and check the northern part of the pool to find a Boatmanâs Coin. 44. The Scar --------> Enter the Scar from The Charred pass. Upon entering the area, climb up the building here and use death grip to jump across to the pole, climb this to the top and jump backwards onto the platform behind to grab a Boatmanâs Coin. 45. The scar --------> Sitting on the same platform as the skeleton key chest. ------------------------------ Kingdom of the Dead (30 Coins) ------------------------------ 46. The Breach ------> Look near the door as you enter the lower level after dropping down after going through the skelton key door. 47. The Breach ------> In the last room before exiting to The Maw kill all the skeleton warriors and you'll see the room has a large statue on either side. Behind the statue to the left of the entrance is a Boatmanâs Coin. 48. The Maw ---------> When you reach the three-way bridge you will notice there was at one point a fourth bridge. Check out the broken remnents of the bridge in the area here to find a coin. 49. The Maw ---------> Check out the ruins in the North Western most point of the Maw. Inside check out the alcove to your left as you enter. Destroy the destructibles here for a Boatmanâs Coin. 50. The Maw ---------> Cross the bridge to the east and look to the left of the gate leading up to Serpent's peak to find this coin. 51. The Maw ---------> On a balcony overlooking a cliff in the building directly to the west of the entrance to Sentinel's Gaze. 52. The Maw ---------> Behind a piece of corruption directly to the left to the entrance to Sentinel's Gaze. 53. The Maw ---------> After defeating Phariseer and gaining the interdiction ability, cruise south from Phariseer's Tomb and into a building that straddles the Maw and The Spine. Here use the summoning circle and send the Dead Lord through the gate to the left. Go through the right hand gate and climb up to the top of the room for a chest, you will also find a Boatman's Coin around as well. 54. Eternal Throne --> In the destructibles in the room with the serpent tome. 55. Gilded Arena ----> In the room where you are ambushed by 20-30 skeleton warriors. Go through the door that unlocks following the fight and enter the room at the far end of the hallway. As you enter look in front and to the right. You will see a Boatmanâs coin. 56. Gilded Arena ----> After returning the first animus stone to the arena. Enter the door to the west. After solving the lantern puzzle you will find this one sitting to the right of one of the bomb growths. 57. Gilded Arena ----> After acquiring the second animus stone go through the now open gate. In the room here go through the door on the right and as soon as you enter, look to the left for a chest. From here head into the side room directly opposite and climb up here. Wallrun to the other platform and destroy the crates and things here. Amongst it all is a Boatmanâs Coin. 58. Phariseer's Tomb-> Once the lift stops upon entering the tomb, move forward and destroy the mummies in the immediate area. Once clear, look back at the lift and to the right of the stairs you just walked down, you will see a Boatman's Coin tucked away sneakily in the corner. 59. Phariseer's Tomb-> Take the lift down to level 1. Go through the north door. Inside, run forward. As you reach the edge of the platform, look to the left and slightly behind you to spot a way up. Follow the handhold around the corner until you can go no further then lean back and jump off the wall to grab the Boatman's coin and land on the platform below. 60. Phariseer's Tomb-> On level 3. In the room where you first encountered an undead general, destroy the destrucibles in the south east corner of this room for the coin. 61. The Spine -------> Head up to the northwestern path in the Spine and you will find a door(This leads to the Soul Arbiter's Maze). Go into the door and follow the wall around to the right as you enter. Destroy the crates here for a Boatmanâs Coin. 62. The Spine -------> From the bridge, head on south towards to the big green door leading to Judicator's Tomb and as you approach, check out that rocky structure to the right. Have a look behind this for a Boatman's Coin. 63. The Spine -------> Go down to the very southeastern corner of The Spine, find the building you can climb. Look on the ledge to the very south east here to find a Relic of Renagoth, and then make your way to the building. Find the handholds and climb to the top. Drop down inside to grab the chest. Turn around and shoot the stone here for a Stone of Power. Make your way down to the lower exit of the tower and look out from here. You should see a Boatmanâs Coin. Use death grip to grab that bad boy. 64. Judicator's Tomb-> After killing the tormentor, check out the destructibles in the corner. 65. Judicator's Tomb-> In the pool of water at the base of the second tower. 66. Judicator's Tomb-> In the pool of water at the base of the third tower. 67. City of the Dead-> In the I-shaped bridge room. After rotating the bridge 90 degrees, look in an alcove to the right. 68. City of the Dead-> In the L-Shaped bridge room. After rotating the bridge and lowering the gate, go down the hallway to the right. Climb the vinewall over and around to the other side and wall jump off it near the rotating lever to grab the coin. 69. City of the Dead-> On the roof where we need to solve a soul splitter pressure plate puzzle. Step on the pressure plate here. See how it flips the wall section over to the left? Step off the plate and enter soul splitter mode. Have clone 1 stand on the pressure plate. Have clone 2 use the deathgrip ring to jump across the gap and wallrun across to the platform that appeared when we stepped on the pressure plate. Switch back to clone 1 and get off the pressure pad to have clone 2 flip around to the inside of the building opposite. Switch to clone 2 and destroy the nearby crates for a Boatmanâs Coin. 70. City of the Dead-> After grabbing the skeleton key from the chest on the balcony with the fying green dragon, re-enter the building and look up to see this one floating above. Use death grip to grab it. 71. Lair of the Deposed King-> At the start of the dungeon, enter the middle door of the three entrances from the spiral staircase. Drop down over the ledge in front and use the hand holds below to drop down onto a long beam at the bottom of the room. Use the death grip ring here to swing to another beam and then scale the cliff at the far end of the room. Follow the hallway all the way to the end to find a chest containing a skeleton key. Look up here to find a Boatmanâs Coin to death grip. 72. Lair of the Deposed King-> In to the room to the north of the area with the locked skull door. Wall run across the first pit here and destroy the crates for a Boatmanâs Coin. 73. Sentinel's Gaze -> Follow the bridge to the east and clear out all the skeletons lurking around at ground level here. On the northeastern side of this room you will find a Boatmanâs Coin. 74. Boneriven -------> In a small alcove to the left as you enter through the third pressure plate door. 75. Boneriven -------> In an alcove in the hallway just before the fourth pressure plate door (the one with the scarab mounds nearby). -------------------- Lostlight (20 Coins) -------------------- 76. Lostlight -----------> To the left of the Lostlight Death Tomb door. 77. Lostlight Death Tomb-> To the right of the door as you enter the treasure room. 78. Lostlight Death Tomb-> To the left of the door as you enter the treasure room. 79. Crystal Spire ---> Behind a rock to the left of the entrance to the Crystal Spire. 80. Crystal Spire ---> After taking the lift up, continue to the left and drop down the gap to find this one. 81. Earth -----------> In the starting area hidden behind a car in the north west corner. 82. Earth -----------> In the starting area hidden in one of the two buildings south of the main courtyard. 83. Earth -----------> After defeating the Noss, check out the south west corner of the area for the coin. 84. Earth -----------> After defeating the Noss, continue through the highway tunnel until you reach a water drain type area. You will exit this to a side area and then re-enter. At this point, look to the right for the coin. 85. Earth -----------> Go to where Uriel unlocks the second door for you. Look to the right of the entrance here for the coin. 86. Earth -----------> On the way to the third piece of the rod you will cross over the lower deck of a bridge. When you reach the hole in the road with the red spikes sticking out, duck into the small room to the left for a Boatmanâs Coin. 87. Earth -----------> After obtaining the third piece of the rod, you will find yourself in a ruined hotel. Continue onwards until you find the last tortured angel. This coin is in a hole in the wall to the left just before reaching him. 88. Ivory Citadel ---> After cleansing the very first room of the dungeon, exit and climb the stairs to return outside. As you move forward, keep an eye out for a small break in the wall to the right. Check the area behind this for a Boatmanâs Coin. 89. Ivory Citadel ---> In the first wing of the dungeon. After traversing the indoor passage, you need to death grip across to the platform below and kill the corrupted angels here. Look to the left behind the ruined wall to find a Boatmanâs Coin. 90. Ivory Citadel ---> From the Dungeon Map chest. Climb back up and use your platforming skills to wall run around the corner and all the way to the next platform. Go to the westernmost part of this platform to find a Boatmanâs Coin. 91. Ivory Citadel ---> Soon after acquiring the voidwalker and our first encounter with aryfids, you will come across some corrupted angels hanging out on a floating island with a broken wall with a portal pad on it. Dispatch the angels and head around to the other side of this section of wall and destroy the destructibles on the back. A chest will spawn. Loot that and from here, look behind a nearby tree for a Boatmanâs Coin. 92. Ivory Citadel ---> Soon after acquiring the voidwalker we will come to a tower with a hole in the side. We need to go in here and plant a portal on the floor and on the wall to proceed through the dungeon. Upon exiting this room, check against the wall to the right of the hole to find the coin. 93. Ivory Citadel ---> After cleansing the second water source, you will return inside to a higher level in the main waterfall room. Exit the other side and continue to the left. Drop down into the water here to find a coin. 94. Ivory Citadel ---> After the coin above. Exit the water. Continue to the bottom of the second set of stairs. Use the voidwalker on the portal pad in front of you and then look down to the platform on the right and activate the second pad here. Death grip your way across and into the portal to find yourself on that lower platform. Look up and to the right to see another portal pad here. Placed a charge portal on this and return through the portal at ground level to launch yourself towards the next platform. Death wonât quite make it, so allow him to wall run across to the next area. As soon as you land look in the corner in front of you behind the corruption for a Boatmanâs Coin. 95. Ivory Citadel ---> When you reach the cave area after cleansing the third water source, drop into the water here to find a coin. ----------------------- Shadow's Edge (5 Coins) ----------------------- 96. The Black Stone-> As soon as you enter the Black Stone look to the left to find a few corruption crystals, cruise over to these, hug the cliff and walk around behind them to find a Boatmanâs Coin. 97. The Black Stone-> Use the first phasewalker pad to take the room back in time. Enter the portal and head over to check out the balcony to the right. Behind the statue youâll find a Boatmanâs Coin. 98. The Black Stone-> When you reach the circular shaft at the end of the passage after picking up the dungeon map, rather than death gripping across right away, look down and to the right to locate a handhold below. Run and jump to the right to fall down to it. Follow the handhold to the right and exit into the hall. As you move along the hallway, look up as you go to find a death grip ring above. Use this to climb up and wall jump to the top. When you get there, youâll find a Boatmanâs Coin nearby and a legendary weapon â Demonflame Renders. 99. The Black Stone-> In the room with the locked skull door in the present. Climb up the stairs to the right of the exit to the hallway to the western side of the room and then head up a second set of stairs on the right towards the centre of the room. Here you can pick up a Boatmanâs Coin. Black Stone-> Look in the alcove to the westernmost wall of the main room to find a phasewalker pad. Activate this and head through. As you enter the past, turn right and enter the hallway here, follow it to the end for a Boatmanâs Coin. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== The Book of the Dead [CLTBD] =============================================================================== There are 40 Book of the Dead pages and they are tied into vulgrim's side-quest "Book of the Dead" for more information on rewards, check out the side-quest guide above [SDQTO]. Heres a list of the Book of the Dead pages by realm: ---------------------------------- The Forge Lands (15 Pages) ---------------------------------- 01. Baneswood ----------> Look at the Eastern side of the the square-shaped area? Cruise in here. Behind the big statue you will find a Book of the Dead Page. 02. Stonefather's Vale -> Mount up and ride to the right of the big crystal monster until you reach a dead end in the north east of the area to find a Book of the Dead Page. 03. The Cauldron -------> In the two blue ball puzzle room in a hole in the wall next to the second ball. 04. The Cauldron -------> After pulling the lever to complete the dungeon,smash up the crates to the right to find the page. 05. The Drenchfort -----> After releasing the second flow of water, follow down the stream. It will flow sideways into the room we picked up the skeleton key in. Follow the water to the left and rather than diving straight away, look behind the block on the platform straight ahead for a Book of the Dead Page. 06. The Drenchfort -----> Go into the Drenchfort. When you enter the main chamber with the giant statue in the middle, turn right and look for a gap in the railing here. Drop down to the handhold here and then again to the one below. Wall run all the way to the right and drop down to the platform here for a Book of the Dead page. 07. The Fjord ----------> After picking up the voidwalker, fast travel to Vulgrimâs location in the Fjord. In the room behind him on the wall you will find a portal pad. Shoot this and then climb up to the next floor. Look through the hole in the wall here to see another pad. Shoot this, then drop down to the ground level and through the portal. Grab the bomb plant here and throw it through the hole in the wall to tag the yellow crystals â when they explode the Book of the Dead page will be there. Return through the portal and pick it up. 08. The Fjord ----------> In the building at the end of the pathway at the North east of the map. As you enter, if you havenât already, grab the two chests and the Boatmanâs Coin tucked away in the hole in the wall on the the two pressure plates at the top of the stairs flanking the entrance. Run over to the square platform on the floor opposite the entrance. Enter soul splitter mode. Send both clones to the pressure pads to rise. Return to normal mode and jump up before the platform goes down again. In front you will see the Book of the Dead page behind a to the right of this platform and stand on the pressure plate here. Enter soul splitter and send your first clone over to the gate, look just to the left to find a way up the wall. From the handhold, wallrun around the corner and drop down into the gated area here to land on a second pressure plate. The door will open. Send Clone 2 in to grab the Book of the Dead Page. 09. The Foundry --------> After acquiring death grip, return to the previous room and walk to the edge of the platform. Rather than using the death grip ring to swing back over to Karn right away, drop down to the ledge. Drop again so you are free falling, as you pass the edge, you should see another death grip ring. Swing over to this and climb up. Follow the passage around and climb the wall at the end to find yourself on a balcony overlooking the room. Here you will find a Book of the Dead page. 10. The Lost Temple ----> In the puzzle room with the two golems. Once you have the first golem shoot the target across the gap, place the other golem in the slot nearby. Instead of going through the now unlocked door, run across the chain and check out the room in the hallway behind the golem for the page. 11. The Lost Temple ----> After re-entering the temple after the detour outside (and the fight with the pair of prowlers) go inside here. Kill all the golems and stingers at ground level and head up the wall on the left. At the top, shoot the bomb plant above the ball to send it down to the room below. Use the beams here to get into the small room opposite the ball statue to find another page of the Book of the Dead. 12. The Nook -----------> Return to the Nook after obtaining death grip and go to the main courtyard. Check out the south western wall to find a death grip hook here. Use this to climb the wall and use the bomb at the top to destroy the nearby yellow crystals to find the page. 13. The Scar -----------> After the crossing the first chain. Work your way around to the chest with the Skeleton Key. Now turn around and wall run along the left hand wall to reach some handholds and follow these to the end to land on a platform containing a Book of the Dead page. 14. Shattered Forge ----> In the room where you kill the sentinel construct, the tainted constructs and the corrupt construct champion. Before exiting, destroy the pots in the northwest corner of this room for a Book of the Dead page. 15. The Weeping Crag ---> After entering the skull door, drop down the hole at the back of the room. Locate the staircase going down nearby but don't descend. See the handhold above? Wall run back and forth to get to this. Then wall run back and forth all the way to the right to find a ledge at the end housing a Boook of the Dead page. ---------------------------------- The Kingdom of the Dead (12 pages) ---------------------------------- 16. City of the Dead ---> At the very start of the dungeon. Once the two undead generals are dead, return to the entrance to the room and look to the right to see a Book of the Dead page on the raised platform here. 17. City of the Dead ---> In the room with the 'I' shaped rotating bridge. On the platform with the switch that controls the bridge rotation. Ignore the switch and move to the right, following the railing around the corner for a Book of the Dead page. 18. City of the Dead ---> After giving the lantern to the statue to activate the green laser. Rotate the statue once to the right to open the door here for a Book of the Dead page. 19. City of the Dead ---> Enter the locked skull door and destroy the crates just to the left as you enter. 20. Phariseer's Tomb ---> When you reach the lift room. Ignore the lift for now and head straight through to the room beyond. Kill all the mummies in here and grab the chest. Look behind the statue at the very end of the room for a Book of the Dead page. 21. Phariseer's Tomb ---> Take the lift down to level 1, head through the open passage to the east. As you reach the edge of the platform, look to your left to see a death grip ring. Jump up here and pull yourself up the ledge at the top for a Book of the Dead page. 22. The Eternal Throne -> From the Eternal throne, walk over to the Gilded Arena. Outside the arena you can trade with Ostegoth if you desire. Destroy the destructibles to the left to find a Book of the Dead page tucked away in a corner here. 23. Gilded Arena -------> In the room with one of the laser statues. You can see it in the distance out of reach. Rotate the statue once to the left and cross the bridge that forms for a Book of the Dead Page. 24. Judicator's Tomb ---> In the room after the Tormentor. Use the summoning circle here and get the Dead Lord to activate the pressure plate in the Northeast corner of the room. This will flip a couple of sections of wall around. Wallrun across to the second block and instead of jumping again, let Death run until he drops and you will land on a platform with a chest. Wallrun over towards the platform with the Dead Lord and use your death grip on him to pull yourself across. Enter the nearby passageway. Inside turn to the left to find a Book of the Dead page. 25. Judicator's Tomb----> After killing the boss. When he is dead, return to where you jumped up and rather than dropping down right away, follow the railing around to the right to find a Book of the Dead page. 26. Judicator's Tomb ---> Enter the second tower (western side of the dungeon). Climb up the stairs to the right to find a death grip hook. Climb up to the central ledge. From here look towards the next death grip hook and to the right to see another Book of the Dead page â death grip this. 27. The Spine ----------> In the dead end in the middle of the large bridge in The Spine. ---------------------------------- Lostlight (8 pages) ---------------------------------- 28. Earth --------------> On the way to the first piece of the rod, when you reach the spot where there are red crystals flanking the road. Look behind the crystal on the right for a Book of the Dead page. 29. Earth --------------> After grabbing the first piece of the Rod of Arafel. In the room behind the door, climb the stairs the corner at the top you can see a Book of the Dead page, use death grip to grab it. 30. Earth --------------> After obtaining the first piece of the rod. Walk through the passage Uriel opens for you and follow the set path until you enter a sewer pipe. Look to the left as you enter for a Book of the Dead page. 31. Earth --------------> In the building just before dropping down to fight the Noss. 32. Earth --------------> After Uriel opens the second door for you, the entrance will now be accessible. Before going through however, turn around and look to the right to see a blue car parked with its back against a wall. Head over here and look just beside it as hidden in the corner next to it is a Book of the Dead page. 33. Lostlight ----------> Look for a broken, semicircular structure to the right just before the bridge leading to the Crystal Spire. Look in the rubble to find a Book of the Dead page. 34. The Ivory Citadel --> After exiting to the second main outdoor area. Check out the opening to the left outside of the tower with the golden orb in it and follow the outer wall around to the south to find a Book of the Dead page hidden behind a piece of corruption that looks like a spider web. 35. The Ivory Citadel --> After meeting the sycophants for the first time. Go down the ramp and in the next circular area, head straight past the activated golden orb to the broken balcony, look behind the door frame for a Book of the Dead page. ---------------------------------- Shadow's Edge (5 pages) ---------------------------------- 36. Shadow's Edge ------> From the tome statue descend down the ramp to the left. In the room at the bottom, ignore the exit for now and climb up the hand holds on the right. On the ledge at the top you will find a pressure plate. Look in the alcove to the left of this for a Book of the Dead page. 37. The Black Stone ----> Look behind the throne after talking to Lilith to find a Book of the Dead page. 38. The Black Stone ----> When you reach the large circular shaft use death grip to swing across to the other side and climb to the top. When you get to the balcony, climb up and look to the right in a corner for a Book of the Dead page. 39. The Black Stone ----> In the main room, on the opposite side of the area from the skull door. Locate the stairs heading down on the east side of the area. From the top of these, look up and to the right to see a portal pad. Shoot this with the phase walker, descend the stairs and look to the left at the bottom. Shoot the second portal pad death grip to swing across into it. After emerging from the portal you will be on the ledge above. Look behind the statue in the far left corner of the platform for a Book of the Dead page. 40. The Black Stone ----> Outside Sammael's chamber in the hallway below. Do 180 degree turn and activate the portal here, now run all the way to the east to find a gap with a Book of the Dead page opposite. Go to the very edge and move as far as you can to the left. You should be able to make out another portal pad on the wall to the right of the page. Shoot this and return to the previous portal to pick it up. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Sticks and Stones [CLTSS] =============================================================================== There are 69 stones to look out for during your exploration of the Nether realms and they fall into three different categories - Mystic Stonebites, Power Stonebites and Resistance Stonebites. Collecting these and returning to Blackroot enables you to hand in a combination of any three for various stat boosts. Baneswood --------------â> On the path between Baneswood and The Charred pass, you will see a circular ruin up a path on the right. On the roof beneath this structure. 06. The Charred Pass -------â> In the building on the left as you exit the open area of the Charred pass into the narrow passage. Climb up, go through the hole in the wall on the top floor and look on the wall. 07. The Charred Pass -------â> In the structure to the left as you enter the Charred Pass from Baneswood. Earth -------------------> In the first room of the Earth area, look at the map and make your way to the dead end to the northwest. Here you will find a Boatmanâs Coin hidden behind a car. From here, if you look to the east you can see a blue stone on the corner of the building to the left. Shoot it for a Stone of Mystics. 30. Earth -------------------> In the room with the first green door we need to destroy, on the roof in the centre of the room. 31. Earth -------------------> After Uriel opens the first door for you, head through the sewer tunnel. As you exit into the street, look in a window on the second level of the building on the right to see a blue crystal we can shoot for a Stone of Mystics. 32. Earth -------------------> On the way to the third piece of the rod. When you reach the hole in the lower deck of bridge, look down at the support on the left and shoot the blue crystal here for a Stone of Mystics. 33. Ivory Citadel -----------> After entering for the first time and exiting to the outdoor area to the east. Climb the stairs and climb up to the next level using the blocks and handholds. Afterwards look across the gap you climbed up for a chest. Wallrun over to the chest platform and look on the window to the left for the stone. 34. Ivory Citadel -----------> After acquiring the voidwalker, you will come to a building with a hole in it in which you will need to place a portal on the ground and a charged one on a wall nearby. From here, exit the hole and turn to the left. You should see the stone on the stone archway above the nearby stairs. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Power Stonebites (25 total) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Forge Lands (5/25) ---------------------- 01. Charred Pass -----------â> Look for the broken archway on the right as you enter. At the base is a pool of water, swim down to find an underwater tunnel. Exit here and climb up to the platform. Look up at the opposite wall for the stone. 02. The Fjord --------------â> In the building at the end of the pathway at the North east of the map. As you enter, look above the door way to find this stone. 03. The Lost Temple ---------> In the room where you need to climb the wall to knock the ball down near the boss chamber. At the top of the room, shoot the bomb plant above the ball to send it down to the room below. Look towards the broken wall on the left for a crystal â shoot this for a Stone of Power. 04. The Scar ----------------> From the entrance to the Scar, look up and to the North. You will see the stone in a broken pipe above the area. 05. Weeping Crag ------------> In Gorewoodâs Chamber. --------------------------- Kingdom of the Dead (10/25) --------------------------- 06. The Maw -----------------> In the ruins at the very northwestern part of The Maw. Once inside, go to the portal pad at the back of the room. Go stand on this and look above the door you entered and slightly left to see a crystal in an alcove. Shoot this for a Stone of Power. 07. Gilded Arena ------------> After grabbing the 1st animus stone, return to the room with the lantern statue and head up the hallway to the East. After the first door, you will find this on the roof in an alcove to the left. 08. Phariseer's Tomb --------> On a statue on the third floor in the same room with the pole that will allow you to access the first floor. 09. The Spine ---------------> Go through the building that bridges The Maw and The Spine. As soon as you leave the gate into the Spine, look behind and to the right to see a block we can run up to. Do so and use death grip to leap up to the handholds above. Work your way across to the left to a ledge with a chest. Look above the handhold we dropped down from to see a stone we can shoot for a Stone of Power. 10. The Spine --------------â> In the southeastern corner of the spine, find the building you can climb. Climb to the top and drop inside to grab the chest. From the upper platform here you should be able to make this out across the room if you look to the west. 11. Judicator's Tomb --------> In the second room of the dungeon look up at the bottom of the left hand cage hanging from the roof and shoot the crystal for a Stone of Power. 12. City of the Dead --------> In the L-shaped puzzle room, after blowing up the crystals instead of returning straight away, continue along the hallway to the right. Here you will find a side room with two wraiths and a chest. Kill them before looting. On the wall here you can also shoot the red crystal for a stone of power. 13. Lair of the Deposed King-> Follow the spiral staircase to the very bottom to find the Death Tomb here. Look above the door to see the stone. 14. Sentinel's Gaze ---------> After climbing to the top of the tower, look at the giant statue to the west to see a crystal. Shoot that for a Stone of Power. 15. Soul Arbiterâs Maze ----â> Inside the building in the Northwestern part of the Spine. It is located on a wall in the southeastern corner on the upper level. ---------------- Lostlight (5/25) ---------------- 16. Crystal Spire -----------> After taking the lift up, head out the door and turn left. Kill the corrupted angels here and look behind the head of the statue carved into the wall of the tower here for a stone of power. Shoot it. 17. Earth -------------------> After fighting the Noss, enter the tunnel and look in the first dead end. It is on the ceiling behind a chest. 18. Earth -------------------> Just after acquring the third part of the rod, you will be back inside. Follow the passage until you reach the large room. Look to the right immediately as you enter to see a hole in the wall with some floating gauntlets in in and grab this for the legendary weapon â Fists of Elhazar. From here you can also look across the room and slightly to the left to find a blue crystal to shoot for a Stone of Power. 19. Ivory Citadel -----------> After cleansing the final water source climb into the water and through the hole in the wall. As soon as you go through, jump over the edge to the right for a chest. Return to the aqueduct from here look to the southwest and you should be able to make out a blue crystal on top of one of the stone arches. Shoot it for a Stone of Power. 20. Ivory Citadel -----------> After cleansing the first water source, you will find yourself back in the waterfall room on a higher platform. From here look at the statue in the centre of the room and you should see the stone. -------------------- Shadow's Edge (5/25) -------------------- 21. Shadowâs Edge Death Tombâ> Above the door. 22. Shadowâs Edge Death Tombâ> On a spike suspended from the roof into the centre of the room. 23. The Black Stone (past) --> near the top of the western wall of the large room with the locked skull door. 24. The Black Stone (present)> near the top of the eastern wall of the large room with the locked skull door. 25. The Black Stone (Past) --> After first using the phasewalker, you will see this crystal on the statue at the north of the room. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Resistance Stonebites (10 total) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Forge Lands (2/10) ---------------------- 01. The Fjord ----------â> After picking up the voidwalker, fast travel to Vulgrimâs location in the Fjord. In the room behind him on the wall you will find a portal pad. Shoot this and then climb up to the next floor. Look through the hole in the wall here to see another pad. Shoot this, then drop down to the ground level and through the portal. Look above the hole in the wall in front for the crystal. 02. The Foundry ---------> In the first room of the Foundry you will see hanging cauldrons moving from left to out here for a second. On the fourth cauldron to pass by you will see the stone attached. -------------------------- Kingdom of the Dead (4/10) -------------------------- 03. The Eternal Throne --> In the same room as the Serpent Tome. It is hidden on the eastern side behind a red cloth. 04. Leviathanâs Gorge --â> Get under the bridge and get to the very north end. Here you will find three chests and a statue. From the statue, turn and look back to the south, you will see the stone on top of the door frame here. 05. The Breach ---------â> First fast travel to Sentinelâs Gaze and turn around. Enter the building to the west. Make your way to the roof and rotate the statue with the lantern here around until it is facing the Breach. You will see a scene. Now head back to the breach and in the final room before the Maw, climb up to the roof to see the gate here that had previously blocked our way is now gone. Cruise around to the other side of the roof and look to the left to see the stone up on the wall. You should also, whilst you are here, turn the statue here around to face the building near Sentinelâs Gaze to open up several areas containing chests and a switch there. 06. City of the Dead ----> After grabbing the dungeon map from the chest, look to the north to see this stone near the top of a tower in front of you. ---------------- Lostlight (3/10) ---------------- 07. Earth ---------------> After fighting the Noss for the first time, check out the western wall for the stone. 08. Ivory Citadel -------> Once all of the water sources have been purified, you will return to the main waterfall room and be able to go through the northern door. Once inside, shoot the portal pad directly in front of you, then look up and shoot a charged portal at the portal pad above. Run through to end up on a suspended water platform. Turn around and disable the portal you just came through. Now look up behind you to see another pad. Use a charged portal on this. Drop down to the ground floor and hop through to end up on the top platform. When you arrive, look to the left to see an opening. Shoot the portal pad on the roof here and wall run back to the portal we just came through to exit into the side room. Here you will find a chest and if you look up at the roof, a green crystal we can shoot for a Stone of Resistance. 09. Ivory Citadel -------> In the room where we activate the golden orb to cleanse the 2nd water source (behind the skull door) look up and above the door to the north for the stone. -------------------- Shadow's Edge (1/10) -------------------- 10. The Black Stone -----> When you reach the circular shaft at the end of the passage after acquiring the dungeon map. Rather than death gripping across right away, look down and to the right to locate a handhold below. Run and jump to the right to fall down to it. Follow the handhold to the right and exit into the hall. As you move along the hallway, look up as you go to find a sneaky death grip ring above. Use this to climb up and wall jump to the top. When you get there, youâll find a Boatmanâs Coin nearby and a legendary weapon â Demonflame Renders. From the centre of this platform, look to the roof to the south to see a crystal, shoot it for a Stone of Resistance. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Lost Relics [CLTLR] =============================================================================== There are 30 lost relics to look out for during Death's quest and you will be able to find them after talking to Osteogoth upon entering the Kingdom of the Dead and recieveing the side-Quest "Lost Relics" [SDQTQ] these relics can be sold to Osteogoth once acquired. They fall into three categories: Relics of Etu-Goth which can be sold for money, Relics of renegoth which can be sold for HP/wrath increases and Relics of Khagoth which can be sold for additional skill further ado, here is where you'll find them all! Heres a list of the Relics by type and by realm: ----------------------------- Relics of Etu-Goth (15 total) ----------------------------- 01. Leviathan's Gorge ---> When entering from the Tree of Death when you see the big bridge, turn to the left and follow the cliff to find a Relic of Etu-Goth. 02. Gilded Arena --------> After the puzzle room where we used green lasers to raise a bridge. In the next area, drop down as soon as you see the first gap in the stairs and look behind you to find a Relic of Etu-Goth. 03. The Eternal Throne --> Behind the King's Throne. 04. Phariseer's Tomb ----> On level 3 after killing your first undead general, destroy the destructibles in the north west corner of the room. 05. The Spine -----------> Just to the south of the door at the northermost point of The Spine (Not the City of the Dead, but the path to the west) against the cliff behind a rock. 06. Judicator's Tomb ----> In the second wing of the dungeon in the Skeleton key room. Enter the hallway to the East of the summoning circle. In here the camera should change and show you a death grip ring. wallrun up to this and up to the handhold. Move to the left and drop down to find a platform hosing a relic of Etu-Goth. 07. The Psychameron -----> In the room before the boss on a platform to the East. 08. City of the Dead ----> In the 'L' bridge puzzle room. Have a look in the corner behind the switch that rotates the platform to find a relic of Etu-Goth tucked away in a corner. 09. Lair of Deposed King-> Beneath the broken stairway on the second platform through the middle doorway. 10. Sentinel's Gaze -----> Behind a brazier next to the bomb plant on the roof of the building to the left as you cross the bridge. 11. Lostlight -----------> Behind a tree next to Vulgrim. 12. Earth ---------------> After picking up the third piece of the rod, enter the building and look in the first hole in the wall to the left. 13. Ivory Citadel -------> After cleansing all three water sources and returning to the main room, head through the now accessible door to the north. Check behind a statue on the left for the relic. 14. Ivory Citadel -------> After cleansing the second water source, continue along the aqueduct to the north. At the first drop down on the aqueduct look behind the falling water for a Relic of Renegoth. 15. The Black Stone -----> At the back of the room with the locked skull door on the east. Stand on the pressure plate and enter soul splitter mode. The pressure plate will activate a gate back on the platform with the phasewalker pad. With clone 1 enter the door here and jump across the gap to the hand holds, wall run up to the next platform. Kill the enemies here and look behind the statue at the back right of the room for a Relic of Etu-Goth. ----------------------------- Relics of Renagoth (10 total) ----------------------------- 01. Leviathan's Gorge --â> At the start of the Gilded Arena, follow the circular staircase all the way to the bottom to find a door. Exit here and turn right. Run until you reach the cliff and follow it along until you find the relic tucked behind a large stone column with thorns trailing off of it. 02. Gilded Arena --------> After entering the arena for the first time, climb up the wall on the eastern side of the area. At the top, turn right and follow the passage around for another climbable wall. At the top of this return along the balcony here to the south until you see yet another climbable wall. From here Death grip across the gap to the left and wall run across to the next platform for the relic. 03. The Spine ----------â> In the very south eastern part of The Spine find the cliff, if you follow this to the east, you can find the relic behind a rock. 04. The Psychameron -----> After obtaining the skeleton key and climbing the pole up the shaft. Upon exiting, look up to see a death grip ring. Jump up and grab this to be propelled to a ledge above housing the relic. 05. City of the Dead ----> As you enter the main room of the dungeon (the one with the big circular hole in it) for the first time, check out the locked door to the north. In front of it are two steam vents, grab the relic off the eastern one. 06. Crystal Spire -------> Before ascending the tower, go and check out the right side of the building. It is in the farthest corner to the right. 07. Earth ---------------> From the chest containing the Dungeon Map. Ignore the open door across the street for now and turn to the right. Follow this street all the way north for a Relic of Renagoth. 08. Earth ---------------> Whilst looking for the first rod fragment, look in amongst the red crystals to the right of the door we need to destroy. 09. Ivory Citadel -------> After cleansing the first water source, continue along the aqueduct to the north. At the second drop down on the aqueduct look behind the falling water for a Relic of Renegoth. 10. Ivory Citadel -------> At the puzzle area with the two rotating levers. You will find a switch to open a gate to the previous area. From here perform a 180 degree turn to spot a Relic of Renegoth sitting in the corner opposite. --------------------------- Relics of Khagoth (5 total) --------------------------- 01. The Maw -------------> Outside the entrance to the cave to Serpent's Peak. From the entrance walk north to the dead end. At the very edge, drop down to a ledge below for a chest. To exit, hit the switch and climb the wall that rotates before it reverts back to normal. At the top of this wall you will find a Relic of Khagoth. 02. Judicator's Tomb ---> In the pool of water at the base of the first tower. 03. The Ivory Citadel ---> In the third area where you cleanse the corruption (using the portal on the roof) . Look behind the corruption to the left as you walk into the room. 04. Shadow's Edge -------> From the tome statue descend down the ramp to the left. In the room at the bottom, ignore the exit for now and climb up the hand holds on the right. On the ledge at the top you will find a pressure plate. Look in the alcove to the left of this for a Book of the Dead page. Stand on the pressure plate and use soul splitter. Have your clone run all the way back to the tome statue and this time take the right hand path. Cruise through the open gate here and into the room on the right to find a Relic of Khagoth. 05. Shadow's Edge Death Tomb-> Immediately in front of you as you enter. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Soul Arbiter items [CLTSA] =============================================================================== There are 20 Soul Arbiter items scattered around the Kingdom of the Dead, Lostlight and Shadow's Edge and each one you find will give you directions required to navigate part of the Soul Arbiter's Maze for the side-quest "Chancellor's Quarry" (walkthrough here [SDQTM]). Here is a list of the locations you need to visit if you wish to solve the maze without cheating! Note: You will know when one of these collectibles is nearby when you see a red demon head stamped on a wall or floor (kind of like collectibles from the first Gears of War!). Heres a list of the Soul Arbiter items by realm: ---------------------------- The Kingdom of the Dead ---------------------------- 01. Gilded Arena --------> After picking up the first animus stone, backtrack until you reach the laser statue, check out the hallway to its left. Open the door at the end and look on the roof in the alcove you your left here for a crystal we can shoot for a Stone of Power, also in the alcove on the left hand wall is a Soul Arbiterâs Scroll we can look at. 02. Gilded Arena --------> On the way to the second Animus Stone, you will have to enter a pair of circular rooms to the southwest of the map. Just before you go in here, look in the alcove to the right to find this. 03. The Maw -------------> Fast travel to Sentinel's Gaze and do a 180. Head into the ruin here and look in the left hand corner to find a block we can wall run up to. Using the various handholds and blocks here, make your way up the wall here all the way to the top of the structure. Follow the passage around past the gates to the other side. Look in the open doorway here for a Soul Arbiter's Sacred Scroll. 04. The Maw -------------> In the building between The Maw and the Spine. Enter from the Spine side and immediatelty after entering the door and look to the left to find it floating in a dead end. 05. Phariseer's Tomb ----> After your first encounter with an undead general, head through the northern corridor. Keep your eyes out for a caged skeleton to the left in an alcove. Behind this is a Soul Arbiter's Sacred Seal. 06. Phariseer's Tomb ----> After killing the boss, return to level 1 and enter the room down here to the south. Stand on the summoning circle and summon a Dead Lord. Send him through the gate to step on the pressure plate. Continue into the room at the end. Kill the mummies in here and look towards the statue. Behind it you will see a yellow crystal. There is a bomb plant in an alcove in the wall on the right side of the room so grab that and use it to bring the crystal down. Drop down the hole here and look in the corner to the far right as you enter for the Soul Arbiter message scrawled on the wall. 07. Judicator's Tomb ----> After crossing the gap in the room at the start of the dungeon involving the raising platforms and movable pedestal, look to the right of the stairs. 08. Judicator's Tomb ----> After killing the Tormentor, check in the small side-room to the southeast. 09. City of the Dead ----> In the room with the rotating I-shaped bridge. Enter soul splitter mode and with your first copy run to the locked door ahead. Look to the right and you will see a death grip ring. Grab this and use the handholds above to make your way around the corner. From here you can wallrun over to the ledge to the right. Here you will find an open doorway with a pit behind it. Before proceeding go and look in the corner nearby to see the letters SWEE, these count as a Soul Arbiterâs Scroll. 10. City of the Dead ----> In the room with the pressure plates puzzle towards the very end of the dungeon. Drop down to the ledge to find two pressure pads here. Step on one and enter soul splitter mode. Get copy 1 to climb up the wall and enter the now open gate. Look to the wall to the right as you enter for a Soul Arbiterâs Sacred Scroll scrawled on the wall here. 11. Lair of Deposed King-> Upon entering the main room head forward and straight down the stairs. Kill the scarabs that spawn here. Find the handhold on the right hand wall and climb up and around the corner. Follow the platforming devices to a ledge at the top of the building to find a Soul Arbiterâs Sacred Scroll. 12. Lair of Deposed King-> After you have ridden the elevator down. Move forward and clear out the north and south rooms of frozen skeletons and in the southern room look behind the spine on the pike and the statue here to find a Soul Arbiterâs Sacred Scroll. 13. Boneriven -----------> Around half way through the dungeon, in one of the side-rooms in the hallways full of cells. 14. Boneriven -----------> In the final hallway at the end of Boneriven. Look in the first room to the right for a legendary item â Keen Talisman. The third room on the left has a chest in it. The fourth room on the left contains a Soul Arbiterâs Sacred Scroll and the final left and right rooms contain a chest each. 15. Soul Arbiter's Maze -> On the platform in front of the portal leading to the maze itself. ---------------------------- Lostlight ---------------------------- 16. Earth ---------------> In a small side-room to the left as you enter the room with the second green door we need to destroy for a piece of the Rod of Arafel. 17. Earth ---------------> In the first area we arrive in on Earth, follow the road to the north of the building we landed in to the very end and drop down the hole Look behind you for the scroll. 18. Ivory Citadel -------> In the northern courtyard with the two rotating wall puzzle. When you reach the second rotating switch drop down the ledge nearby with the portal to find this floating nearby. ---------------------------- Shadow's Edge ---------------------------- 19. The Black stone -----> After climbing the circular pit near the start of the dungeon exit out to the main area at the top. Throw the switch in front of you and kill the legion champion that spawns. You will find yourself standing next to a green phasewalker pad. Shoot the phasewalker pad. Enter the time shift you exit, look immediately to the right for a Soul Arbiterâs Scroll and to the left for a chest. 20. The Black Stone -----> In the room with the skull door, next to the telport pad in the northern platform in the room. In the past, destroy the yellow crystals here and return to the present and look in the alcove where they were to find a Soul Arbiter's Scroll. =============================================================================== =============================================================================== GnoMAD's Gnomes [CLTGG] =============================================================================== There are four Gnomes total hidden in some hard to find places throughout the game. There is one in each world. After collecting the first one, you will be given a side-quest "GnoMAD's Gnomes". ----------------------- The Forge Lands ----------------------- Weeping Crag ----> Once you have acquired the voidwalker, return to the Weeping Crag. Cruise through the dungeon as if you were going for the skeleton key again. When you reach the room with the pressure plate and the rising wall, get onto the ledge and look to the left to see a portal pad. Shoot this, and in the next hallway look up to the left to see another portal pad on the roof. Shoot this. Return to the other portal and cruise through. Grab the three chests here and jump into the water at the back of the room. Dive down and find the tunnel leading south. Surface at the end to find the GnoMAD's Gnome on a ledge in front. ----------------------- The Kingdom of the Dead ----------------------- City of the Dead --> When you reach the rooftop section with the pressure plate puzzle. step on the pressure plate here. See how it flips the wall section over to the left? Step off the plate and enter soul splitter mode. Have clone 1 stand on the pressure plate. Have clone 2 use the deathgrip ring to jump across the gap and wallrun across to the platform that appeared when we stepped on the pressure plate. Switch back to clone 1 and get off the pressure pad to have clone 2 flip around to the inside of the building opposite. With clone 2, destroy the nearby crates for a Boatmanâs Coin and proceed down the stairs. At the very end you will find a chest and a GnoMAD Gnome. ----------------------- Lostlight ----------------------- The Ivory Citadel-> After cleansing the second water source, follow the aqueduct south and death grip across to the far platform for a chest. Climb up the hand holds here and rather than going through the door, drop down and go to where you destroyed the crystals before. Drop down to the platform below and enter the now cleansed side passage through the hole in the wall to find a GnoMAD Gnome. ----------------------- Shadow's Edge ----------------------- The Black Stone --> After activating and entering the phasewalker portal immediately prior to Sammael's throne room, turn the blocks and handholds nearby leading to an upper level.
